Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Olathe, KS is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit (4 North) days shift. You will apply the nursing process to coordinate patient care, provide safe, holistic treatment, and support families throughout the care continuum.

Role requires Kansas RN licensure (or compact license), CPR/AED/BLS within 14 days, and ADN-to-BSN commitments if hired after Sept 1, 2026, with BSN completion by the fifth anniversary.

Qualifications

• RN license in Kansas or compact state.
• CPR/AED/BLS within 14 days.
• Some units require additional unit-specific certifications.
• Nurses hired after Sept 1, 2026 must sign ADN-to-BSN agreement and complete BSN within five years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medication safety policies, order writing, and safety practices.
• Answer calls, triage patient care, and assess patient needs.
• Coordinate care with hospital, vendors, and physician offices.
• Provide direct nursing care including chemotherapy, blood components, and electrolyte replacements.
