Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical/4 West unit in Boston, MA. The role covers 36-hour night shifts, with every-other-weekend scheduling in the M4W 46-bed unit that handles colorectal, surgical oncology, gynecology, trauma and related patients.

You will provide patient-centered nursing care using evidence-based practices, collaborate with diverse teams, document care and participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Competenze

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certified; ACLS in certain units may be required.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN encouraged within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification may be required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities; basic computer proficiency.

Mansioni

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and education.
• Communicate with health care team, patients and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; interpret computerized data.
• Follow BMC nursing policies and guidelines.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.
