Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Part-Time RN to join the 7M Medical Specialty Unit in Roanoke, VA. The unit focuses on adults with complex medical conditions, often with behavioral health needs, delivering evidence-based, compassionate care.

The RN will provide individualized patient care, collaborate with the healthcare team, manage documentation in EMR, and support education and discharge planning. Virginia RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS may be required for certain areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
• Experience: None.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.
• Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.
