Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit (Days) at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The position is per diem Level I, requiring a minimum of 48 hours every six weeks, with 24 weekend hours if needed.

Hours are 7:00am–7:30pm, offering an hourly pay range based on expertise. Requirements include an Associate's degree or BSN, current Illinois RN license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program (required).
• Current Illinois nursing license (required).
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (required).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect health data with patient, family and care providers.
• Coordinate plan of care to ensure safe, timely and appropriate interventions.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Individualize patient and family teaching based on assessed learning needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintain knowledge of current nursing standards, laws and regulations.
