Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit (Days) at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The per diem Level I role requires flexibility to cover shifts, including weekends, with hours from 7:00am to 7:30pm.

You will assess patients, coordinate care, and educate patients and families while adhering to standards and regulations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois is required.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients and colleagues in person, by phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating nursing practice quality through quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains current knowledge of nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
