Job summary

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith invites nurses to join the Dedicated Education Unit, an 18-bed unit focused on teaching eager graduate nurses the fundamentals to be successful.

The unit will care for Medical Telemetry patients with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio (day shift only). Each nurse will precept two senior nursing students, with a clinical rotation preceptor available for oversight and guidance.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in hiring state or compact licensure
• Nursing school graduation (Associate's/Diploma/BSN)
• AHA Healthcare Provider card or course; ACLS and BLS or within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Serve as preceptor to two senior nursing students
• Care for Medical Telemetry patients at a 4:1 ratio (day shift only)
• Provide leadership and nursing education within the unit
• Support oversight by clinical rotation preceptor
