Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith is seeking registered nurses to join the Dedicated Education Unit, focusing on teaching and patient care for Medical Telemetry patients on the day shift. Nurses will precept two senior nursing students and ensure high standards of care and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of experience, with a current RN license and ACLS/BLS; AHA Healthcare Provider card is required or obtainable within probation.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: RN license in hiring state or compact licensure and must meet state board requirements.
• Certifications: AHA Healthcare Provider card or course within probation; ACLS and BLS or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for Medical Telemetry patients with a 4:1 patient to nurse ratio (day shift only).
• Act as a preceptor to two senior nursing students for total patient care.
• Provide oversight with a clinical rotation preceptor for students.
