Job summary

Methodist Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Med Surg/Telemetry team as a Partner for Good. The RN will manage patient care episodes in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team, including supervision of Nursing Assistants.

The position features a .75 FTE with rotating day and night shifts, every third weekend. Qualified candidates hold a Minnesota RN license with BLS certification; BSN is preferred and should be obtained within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing. BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients

Responsibilities

• Manages the episode of patient care in partnership with patients, caregivers, groups and other providers.
• Coordinates and supervises patient care delegated to Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Rotating day and night shift with every 3rd weekend (12-hour shifts)
