Job summary

Intermountain Health's St James Hospital in Montana is seeking a Registered Nurse on the medical floor for a full-time night shift. The unit cares for adults with respiratory, cardiac, and sepsis diagnoses and includes observation patients.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN within 4 years (or have 15 years acute care), Montana RN license, and BLS on hire. Preferred: national certification. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, supervise LPNs/CNAs, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• BSN Degree from an accredited program required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
• BLS Certification upon hire.
• National Certification in area of practice (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, recognize and address patients psychological and physical needs.
• Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind.
• Communicate compassionately and effectively.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
• Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs.
• Participate in clinical team conferences.
• Follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures.
