Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is expanding its Waxahachie campus 5 East unit and seeks an experienced RN for Med Surg/Telemetry on day shifts. This new inpatient unit will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse population requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and building a collaborative culture from the ground up within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Required: Inpatient acute care Med Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Prioritize patient and family needs while maintaining safety and quality care.
• Educate patients and families to support understanding and engagement in care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care and communication accurately in EMR and ensure continuity of care.
• Demonstrate professional practice and adherence to Texas Nursing Practice Act.
