Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health's Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie is expanding and launching the 4 East unit, a new Med Surg/Telemetry Trauma floor to support our growing community.

As an RN on this unit, you will conduct assessments, plan care, and deliver trauma-focused Med Surg care during nights (7P–7A) in a full-time role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Inpatient acute care Med Surg experience required.
• Current RN licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Passion for teamwork and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism in therapeutic interactions with patients and families.
• Create care plans reflecting values and patient needs; resolve issues.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members on health topics; assess learning needs.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure quality care.
• Use problem-solving skills to prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in care planning and delivery.
