Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie is expanding its 4 East Med Surg/Telemetry Trauma unit for nights, offering full-time shifts (3x12s) in a dedicated inpatient setting. The RN will provide comprehensive, trauma-focused care and collaborate with a growing team to establish the new unit.

Qualifications

• Required: Inpatient acute care Med Surg experience.
• Current RN licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Passion for teamwork and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans.
• Create, implement, and evaluate care plans for patients and families.
• Educate patients and families; document learning needs.
• Collaborate with the care team to delegate tasks safely.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and follow unit protocols.
• Support the new 4 East Trauma Med Surg/Telemetry team to ensure quality care.
