Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Medical Telemetry Unit on a full-time 36-hour/week schedule (days, 7am–7pm).

The 38-bed unit provides direct, individualized care across a range of diagnoses, with opportunities for professional development, a supportive team, and a focus on work-life balance. RN candidates must have an Accredited Nursing Program degree, an active RN license, and BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of start).
• Strong teamwork and bedside care in a telemetry setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Medical Telemetry Unit.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage care for telemetry patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and comfort.

We Have a Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities
