Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking Registered Nurses to join the Medical Telemetry Unit at Memorial Hospital. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week, daytime shifts from 7am to 7pm, with a 38-bed unit focused on direct, individualized patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Medical Telemetry Unit with a focus on learning and adapting to a wide range of medical diagnoses.
• Collaborate with an engaged team and supportive management to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and effective care environment, including adherence to hospital policies and patient safety standards.

We Have a Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• ADN required

• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
