Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX, is seeking registered nurses to join the Medical Telemetry unit. This full-time role offers nights from 7pm to 7am and a 36-hour workweek, with a focus on direct and individualized patient care in a 38-bed telemetry unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required.

• Provide direct and individualized care in the Medical Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition; collaborate with the care team.

We Have a Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
