Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical/Surgical to join a multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centered care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process, collaborating across departments to ensure safety, quality and timely discharge planning.

Ideal candidates will hold an active RN license, prefer BSN, and have at least one year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• One year RN experience required; new grads considered

Responsibilities

• Establish goals and strategies for discharge or continuing care with the patient.
• Perform and document complete patient assessments and maintain current nursing care plans.
• Provide individualized patient teaching based on learning needs.
• Administer medications safely per state practice and Mercy Health policies.
• Coordinate patient care and advocate for safety and quality improvements
