Job summary

AdventHealth Palm Coast in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift assignments. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer treatments per physician orders while ensuring safety and quality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, documentation, education, and continuous improvement. The position requires an RN license and BLS; acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• BLS CPR certification is required.
• 1+ year in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, with regular evaluation and revision.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocol, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve outcomes while ensuring infection control and safety.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to team members as appropriate.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and quality-improvement activities.
• Respond to codes promptly and intervene to stabilize patients.
