Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a 12-hour shift setting.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the Watson Model and collaborate with care managers to support safe discharges. The ideal candidate holds a California RN license with 1+ year of clinical experience; BLS/ACLS and CPI training are preferred, and bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred; ADN/diploma considered.
• Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience; Med/Surg/Telemetry preferred.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS and ACLS preferred; CPI certification may be required.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess patients and adjust plans based on needs and changes.
• Communicate using SBAR during hand-offs and with the care team.
• Document care in IPOC and electronic records per policy.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning with care managers.
• Participate in unit quality and performance improvement initiatives.
