Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Long Beach, CA seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver 12-hour shifts of high-quality, patient/family-centered care using the Watson Model of Care.

You will report to the Clinical Unit Supervisor and coordinate care within a defined patient group. The role requires at least 1 year in clinical nursing with a California license; ACLS/BLS certs and EMR experience are preferred, and bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license.
• Critical Care Nursing experience required; new to specialty may be considered.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred; basic computer skills; EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process and plan care.
• Prioritize and organize patient care and ensure follow-through of planned interventions.
• Maintain therapeutic nurse-patient relationships and uphold patient rights.
• Document care using IPOC and the Watson Model of Care per unit and hospital policies.
