Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Med/Surg Post Surgical Unit at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. This is a PRN, non-exempt bedside nursing role requiring an active RN license and BLS certification.

The RN will provide direct patient care in a hospital setting, collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for observation patients.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 6 months RN acute care experience
• ADN required or equivalent nursing degree

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using nursing process and evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and update plans of care
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to support staff
• Identify patient safety risks related to diagnosis, medications, procedures, and age
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development
