Job summary
AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across physiological, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. You will develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while collaborating with physicians and the care team.
The role requires an RN license, an Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and at least one year of acute care experience.
Qualifications
- RN license required
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
- 1+ acute care hospital setting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, cultural and spiritual factors
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them
- Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and outcomes in the medical record
- Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans to improve outcomes
- Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed
- Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families
- Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members
- Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities
- Respond to code situations and stabilize patients
