Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg Tele PRN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care during the night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. You will collaborate with the care team and support patients and families using established nursing models to advocate for optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes assessment, timely documentation, medication administration, and patient education, with opportunities for professional growth and participation in hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Associate's Degree acceptable with BSN within 24 months of hire.
• Current TX RN license or compact license.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and medications, translating medical terms as needed.
