Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Orthopedics unit on the night shift. The role supports patient-centered care, collaborates with physicians and care teams, and adheres to established nursing models to ensure excellent patient experiences and outcomes.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care planning, teaching, and coordination of care for multiple patients while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associates degree okay to start, Bachelor’s degree required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years is required.
• Experience in Ortho is preferred.

• Determine the health status and needs of patients through data interpretation and collaboration with the care team.
• Use a systematic approach to provide individualized nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients.
• Formulate and implement nursing care plans based on diagnoses.
• Deliver care within the RN scope and comply with applicable laws.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients on health promotion and restoration.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients through direct care or delegated tasks.
• Evaluate patient responses to therapies and outcomes.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze clinical data and current literature for nursing decisions.
