Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Med/Surg Orthopedics unit. This is a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends, offering mentorship and career development opportunities.

You'll need TX RN license (compact allowed), current BLS, ADN or BSN with 1 year acute care experience; BSN within 24 months. The role provides a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing professional education support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Associate degree okay to start; BSN within 24 months of hire
• Current TX RN license (or compact)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience
• Orthopedic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Determine health status and needs through data interpretation with the care team
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments
• Formulate and implement nursing care plans
• Provide teaching plans for patients and families
• Deliver care to multiple patients through direct care or delegation
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to therapies
• Apply critical thinking to nursing practice decisions
