Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, Ohio seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Medical/Surgical units on a part-time night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am). You will assess patients, plan and implement care, teach patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include an active RN license in Ohio or compact state, BLS (ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS), and 1 year of RN experience (new grads may apply).

Qualifications

• The RN provides patient care using the nursing process and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.
• BLS is preferred; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS; RN-BC, CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN and NIH Stroke certs are preferred.
• One year RN experience is required; new grads considered; acute care exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments and care plans.
• Administer medications safely and according to policy.
• Coordinate care with other departments and provide patient teaching.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts.
