Job summary

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Med Surg. This full-time night shift (3x12, 7pm–7am) position includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for well-qualified applicants and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee license (single-state or compact)
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program
• Relocation requires licensure updated to Tennessee PSOR before employment
• BLS within 7 days of hire; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months
• One-year nursing experience preferred
• TN RN or Compact State license with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
