Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Pocono Creek neighborhood hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg unit on the Night shift. The role emphasizes professional nursing through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation per policy. You will direct and manage care for designated patients and communicate with the care team to meet patient needs.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, PA RN license at hire, and BLS. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or required.
• Basic computer skills for charting and documentation. Requirements may include certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
• Collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff; ensures safe care delivery.
• Coordinates patient and family education throughout treatment to facilitate discharge planning.
• Demonstrates leadership and mentors new colleagues as assigned.
