Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in the Pocono region is seeking an experienced RN to provide professional nursing care across assessment, planning, and evaluation. You will work nights to deliver high-quality patient-centered care, coordinating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include patient and family education, safety-first practice, and participating in performance improvement. Requires RN license in PA and BLS; on-site care at Lehigh Valley Hospital—Pocono.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in patient care.
• Completion of orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• BLS - Basic Life Support; PA licensure upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients with collaboration with physicians and team members.
• Maintain quality and safety through evidence-based practice and participation in related projects.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
• Coordinate patient and family education during treatment to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Be a team member supporting unit and hospital goals and participate in performance improvement.
• Perform validated clinical skills based on specialty and unit practice.
• Utilize technology to optimize care delivery and workflow.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and precepting for new staff and interns; assist in appraisals.
