Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Medicine Unit. This role emphasizes educating patients and families, guiding junior staff, and applying evidence-based practice to patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Maryland nursing license, NCLEX passage, BLS and 1 year of RN experience; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by specialty. Full-time days, 36 hrs/week, non-exempt.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Passing NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care while improving knowledge and skills with guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards while fulfilling Adventist HealthCare nursing mission and values.
• Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.
