Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The role requires at least 1 year of Med-Surg experience, an RN license, and BLS certification; Associate’s in Nursing is required with a Bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience.
• RN license with BLS certification.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocol.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and outcomes.
• Monitor infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
• Supervise care provided by team members.
