Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time 36-hour workweek on the Day Shift (7am–7pm). Ideal candidates have 2 years of Med/Surg or IMC experience.

The Main Nursing Unit supports Medical Surgical, Orthopedics, Intermediate Care, and Critical Care with a Magnet-recognized facility. The role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, education, and teamwork, with a focus on safety and quality nursing care.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Med/Surg or IMC experience required.
• RN license with active status.
• BLS certification (or attainable within 30 days).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
• Create, implement, and evaluate care plans; adjust plans to reach outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members on health needs.
• Delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and follow through care plans.
• Maintain safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
• Support peer development and community service initiatives.
