Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg General Surgery 3W. The role uses the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinating with other departments and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.

Requires Missouri RN licensure or compact licensure, BLS, and a nursing degree (ADN, Diploma, or BSN). Prior hospital experience is preferred; shift is nights, with sign-on bonuses offered for eligible RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following.
• Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or possess compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
