Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg General Surgery 3W. The role uses the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• Missouri RN license or compact licensure required.
• Hospital experience preferred depending on unit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for evaluation and provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
