Job summary

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team. You will apply the nursing process to plan and deliver evidence-based care, with emphasis on patient and family engagement and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, collaborating with the care team, documenting in the EHR, and adapting care plans as patient needs evolve. BSN preferred; RN license required; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program and licensed RN.
• RN license with current status in state(s) of practice.
• BLS certification required or as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, updates care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and ethical practice.
• Administers medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols and documents in EHR.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, and critical thinking.
