Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• BSN preferred when available.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and ethical patient care.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution to support team collaboration.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ensures age-specific care as per department standards.
