Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Float Pool PRN. The role provides expert nursing care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units with emphasis on patient assessment and family instruction.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact license, active FL RN within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (6-month grace period).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records including post-test results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
