RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for the 12.5-hour Specialty Float Med/Sur role in NJ. The Medical/Surgical Float Pool offers exposure across diverse units, with a focus on evidence-based care and patient-centered outcomes.

Requirements include an active NJ RN license, BLS, and a strong commitment to teamwork. The role offers a full-time daytime schedule, with three 12.5-hour shifts per week and every-other weekend. EPIC familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families to prepare for next care stages.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support care transitions.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and clinical ladder opportunities.
