Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Float Pool RN to provide patient care across units in the Oklahoma City area. The role uses the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to deliver care while coordinating with other departments and upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of RN experience, current RN licensure, and BLS certification, with flexibility to meet varied shifts and unit needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
• Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice.
• 3 years RN experience
• BLS
• Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process.
• Coordinate the patient’s care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 40 lbs., pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
