Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is hiring RN Float Pool nurses to join a mission-driven team. You’ll provide high-quality patient care across Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units while rotating through shifts.

As a Float Pool RN, you’ll gain diverse clinical experience, with competitive incentives including up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus, shift differentials, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact state.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across assignments in the RN Float Pool.
• Coordinate patient care with multiple departments and units.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Participate in a cross-functional, learning-focused team environment.

About the Float Pool

Float Pool RNs rotate across the following units:

• Emergency Department
• ICU
• Cardiac Telemetry
• Medical-Surgical (Adults)
• Medical-Surgical (Adults & Peds)

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program

Licensure:

• Active RN license in Missouri or compact license (must meet state board requirements)

Experience:

• 1+ year RN experience preferred

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – may also require depending on assignment
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – may also require depending on assignment

Physical Requirements

• Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting throughout shifts
