Qualifications

• RN licensure in Maine or authorization to practice pending licensure
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current BCLS; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
• Excellent assessment, communication, computer and documentation skills
• Ability to function independently

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the patient care team to deliver individualized quality patient care
• Develop and implement the patient care plan in partnership with physicians, patient and family
• Utilize the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate care across the patient age spectrum
• Promote teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel throughout the unit
• Adhere to confidentiality, sexual harassment policies, advance directives and ADA requirements
