Qualifications

• Current licensure as an RN in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BCLS; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills needed.
• Ability to function independently.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates members of the patient care team, focusing on individualized quality patient care.
• Develops the patient care plan in partnership with physicians, patient, and family when applicable.
• Promotes teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel on the unit.
• Adheres to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
