Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma from an Accredited Diploma Program or Associate or higher Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity within 90 days.
• RN I-IV levels indicate varying years of relevant experience (6 months to 10+ years).
• Current JPS recognized BLS certification and AC LS within 90 days of hire where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assesses, directs, implements and provides quality patient care for assigned patients to include modifying nursing care and discharge planning.
• Monitors changes in patient condition, records vital signs, and intervenes when appropriate.
• Performs complete data collection from patient history and presenting complaints.
• Delivers nursing care including education directed toward knowledge deficits and discharge planning.
• Documents accurately in medical records and computer systems.
• Maintains infection control, safety, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
