Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a part-time Acute Care RN to join our night shift team. You will provide safe, compassionate care, assess and plan patient needs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients and families.

Responsibilities include monitoring acutely ill patients on the 7PM-7AM schedule, documenting care, and promoting evidence-based practices. Iowa RN license required; ACLS/BLS; associate degree required.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license required.
• BLS required by American Heart Association.
• ACLS required for telemetry units.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills required.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift

Shift Schedule: Part Time 24 hours per week; Night Shift 7PM-7AM

Position Purpose

The Acute Care RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients with varying levels of acuity. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; coordinating with the interdisciplinary team; and supporting patients and families throughout their care journey.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current Iowa RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire
• Basic computer skills
