Job summary

BOS Medical Staffing is seeking contracted RNs to support a skilled Med Surg facility in New Orleans. Shifts are available immediately, including 7A-7P and 7P-7A.

Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process for patient care, participating in discharge planning, and performing focused patient assessments. Candidates must have a current nursing license and preferred 1 year RN experience. Benefits include flexible scheduling, various insurance options, and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• Must have a current nursing license.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred.
• Must possess basic computer skills for charting.
• Ability to work effectively in a team is necessary.
• Candidates must pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform interviews to assess patient needs.
• Document nursing diagnoses and care plans.
• Carry out other RN duties as assigned.

Skills

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning process.
• Perform a focused interview to identify specific patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’ s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from health care members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Other Registered Nurse (RN) duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

• Current, unencumbered nursing license
• At least 1 year of experience as an RN preferred
• Basic computer skills for charting
