Job summary

Genesis Administrative Services LLC in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced MDS Nurse -- RN to manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation and ensure accurate reimbursement for services in long-term care. You will coordinate MDS assessments, OBRA and OSRAs, and work with the Business Office to communicate case-mix data.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of employment is required.
• One year of long-term care nursing experience is required.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement or MDS completion is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate schedule of all MDS assessments and ensure timely submission of MDS, case-mix, OBRA and OSRA assessments.
• Perform concurrent MDS reviews to achieve correct RUGs categorization and identify reimbursement opportunities.
• Communicate case-mix data required for billing (RUGs categories, modifiers, state case-mix scores) to Business Office.
• Serve as the nursing center resource for MDS/RUGs and state case-mix systems, educating staff on MDS terminology.
