Brickyard Healthcare is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator (RN) to oversee and coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument process in compliance with federal and state requirements and company policy.

The role requires acting as an in-house case manager, coordinating care with physicians, families and staff, and ensuring accurate MDS development, RAPs and ARD selections for proper Medicare/Medicaid billing.

Qualificações

• Registered Nurse with active license in the state of practice.
• Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum one year of experience in a long-term care setting.
• Prior experience as an MDS coordinator with demonstrated expertise.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance.

Responsabilidades

• Complete the Resident Assessment Instrument per federal and state regulations and policy.
• Act as in-house case manager, coordinating services with physicians, families, payers and staff.
• Coordinate development and completion of the MDS in accordance with rules and guidelines, including RAPs and Triggers.
• Select the correct ARD and reasons for assessment to ensure appropriate Medicare/Medicaid payment.
• Use standard systems to manage the MDS process.
• Assist in developing a comprehensive resident assessment and care plan.
• Train new nursing staff on the RAI process as directed by supervisor.
• Participate in Medicare Part A in-house reviews and assist in billing information sharing.
