Forest Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center seeks a skilled MDS Coordinator (RN) to ensure accurate coding and timely MDS submissions in accordance with OBRA, Medicare PPS, and Medicaid requirements.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, train staff, and monitor quality measures while maintaining compliance and high-quality resident care in a busy skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be an RN with a current, active Oklahoma license.
• CPR Certified.
• MDS experience is preferred, however we will educate and grow eager candidates.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Convey compassion and empathy for residents and their representatives.
• Be a skilled communicator, educator, director, and motivator.
• Have exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Have a thorough understanding of all regulations and standards related to the RAI process (Federal/State regulations and MDS RAI User Manual).
• Participate in the pre-admission process to ensure essential information for MDS/Case Mix coding and Medicaid eligibility where applicable.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure nursing documentation and risk assessments are completed timely.
• Participate in community and corporate level meetings.
• Prepare and timely submission of ADRs/ Revenue Audits.
• Provide education on RAI processes including ADL documentation and MDS requirements.
• Train new associates on the RAI process.
• Monitor and ensure competency of staff involved in the RAI process.
• Assist in preparation of clinical, quality and reimbursement reports.
• Review quarterly Medicaid reports and follow up as needed.
• Complete the RAI process and manage the MDS department.
