Qualifications

• RN license required
• Experience in long-term care or MDS coordination preferred
• Knowledge of MDS process and coding conventions
• Familiarity with EMR and regulatory requirements helpful
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Determine PDPM and related expenses for admissions
• Assess nursing needs and determine reimbursement levels for prospective residents
• Complete and assure accuracy of the MDS process for all residents
• Monitor Case Mix Index scores for risks affecting reimbursement
• Ensure revenue integrity and regulatory compliance for MDS completion
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate data collection
• Provide insights and ongoing education to facility staff and leaders
