Job summary

Avir Vista in Texas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to lead and coordinate the MDS/RAI process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. You will manage resident care data, develop care plans, and coordinate assessments across departments to optimize funding and quality of life.

As a nursing manager, you will participate in daily meetings, support clinical goals, promote Residents’ rights, and supervise staff training.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and licensed by the State.
• Complete post secondary education or be able to read/write at required level.
• Relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with associates.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Prefer two years of long-term care experience with Medicare/Case Management/Medicaid knowledge.
• Knowledge of RAI Process, PPS requirements, Texas Case Mix and reimbursement forms.
• Must have computer skills and be able to teach staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the RAI Process from admission to discharge to ensure clinical compliance and funding.
• Complete MDS timely and accurately with documentation support; create individualized care plans.
• Oversee resident care data collection, coordinate assessments, and liaise with rehab team.
• Audit, prepare surveys, and justify managed care authorizations; complete state forms.
• Train and supervise staff; participate in daily/weekly meetings and quality assurance.
• Promote residents’ rights and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
