Completes Minimum Data Set (MDS) requirements in compliance with State and Federal Regulations governing the Resident Assessment process, within required time frames and criteria, including the implementation of CAT's and CAA's; must perform and tolerate a busy work pace; must communicate courteously and respectfully with Residents, Employees and others.
Registered Nursing License in good standing in Mississippi; must possess or attain MDS Certification within first year of accepting position; must attain Case Mix Training as requested; prefer 3 years clinical experience, with minimum 2 years in Long-Term Care; must have thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, LTC Regulations and guidelines; must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, have excellent oral and written communications skills; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check.
1. Tracks due dates for MDS; coordinates and conducts development and completion of Resident Assessment Process in compliance with company policies, State and Federal Regulations
2. Ensures compliance/completion of the MDS within pre-set time frames and criteria
3. Assists in the development of a comprehensive Resident assessment and Care Plan for each Resident as Chairperson of the facility's Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team
4. Disseminates any new or updated materials involving the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process
5. Facilitates the involvement of appropriate healthcare professionals to improve and/or maintain the Residents' functional abilities at the highest practicable level
